The visit was part of a broader effort to engage the community and celebrate the athlete’s local ties while providing a unique experience for Naperville-area supporters.

The Wheaton French Market is scheduled to begin its 2026 season on Saturday, April 11, at the pavilion located near the intersection of Main Street and Liberty Drive. This marks the fourth year the weekly event will be hosted at this specific pavilion, offering a rotating roster of local and regional vendors. Shoppers can expect a diverse selection of goods, including handmade jewelry, artisanal home decor, fresh-baked treats, candles, and locally sourced honey, alongside live musical performances that enhance the outdoor shopping experience.

The market will operate every Saturday throughout the spring, summer, and fall. From the April 11 opening through October 31, hours are set for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. A slightly shortened schedule will follow in November, with the market open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays through November 28. Managed by Bensidoun USA, the French Market continues to be a staple for those seeking fresh flowers, unique gifts, and community interaction in the heart of downtown Wheaton.

The Village of Glen Ellyn is inviting residents aged 21 and older to participate in the "Bubbly Bunny" Egg Hunt on Friday, March 27, at Lake Ellyn Park. This seasonal event puts a mature twist on the traditional Easter egg hunt, requiring participants to bring their own flashlights and baskets to search for hundreds of colorful eggs hidden throughout the park grounds after dark. Each egg contains various rewards, ranging from candy to raffle tickets and other seasonal surprises.
The evening's festivities kick off with light refreshments and snacks before the hunt begins. Once the eggs are collected, participants can use their discovered raffle tickets to enter drawings for specially curated Easter baskets provided by local Glen Ellyn businesses. Interested attendees are encouraged to register in advance through the Glen Ellyn Park District to secure their spot for this nighttime community celebration.
