Bridge Season Begins: Expect Delays Across Major Commute Routes
Pack your patience for the Monday morning drive. Starting today, April 13, construction crews are initiating a series of significant bridge inspections across the county. Motorists should expect periodic lane closures on major thoroughfares including Geneva Road, Warrenville Road, and sections of Lemont Road. In particular, the Geneva Road bridge over the West Branch DuPage River will see active work that may impact those heading into Wheaton and Carol Stream. These "Phase I" inspections are part of the county's spring safety protocol to ensure structural integrity after the winter freeze-thaw cycle.

Described by critics as "strangely delightful," the screening offers local cinephiles a chance to see independent work on the big screen followed by the society's signature post-film discussion.
Pollinator Prep and Spring Growth
As part of Earth Month Naperville, the city and park district are highlighting "Pollinator Awareness" this week. While the primary weekend events focused on cleanup, this week’s focus shifts to native planting education. Residents are encouraged to check the local park district guides for upcoming wildflower walks (starting next week) and to begin prepping their own garden beds to support local bee and butterfly populations. It's the perfect week for it, given the humid, spring-like forecast we're seeing!
